About Fresh Food Connect

Founded in 2016 in Denver, Colorado, Fresh Food Connect is a nationwide nonprofit helping thousands of home gardeners track and manage homegrown produce donations to support local hunger relief.

1 in 10 people in the US experiences food insecurity. 40% of our food is wasted. 1 in 3 US households grows food at home or in community gardens. Fresh Food Connect closes the awareness-and-connection gap — the food exists, the growers exist, the need exists. We match them.
